Login Issues

If you're unable to log in, we recommend the following steps:

  1. Uninstall and reinstall the app. Don’t worry: your app progress will be preserved.
  2. Check your spam folder.
  3. Verify if you have any typos in your email.
  4. 📱For Android smartphones only:
    1. Go to your settings, select "Apps", find "Brian", and click on "Storage" (German: "Speicher" / "Speicherplatz"). Please clear all the storage and try again. Don’t worry: your app progress will be preserved.
    2. If this doesn't work, check which browser is set as default in your settings. Some browsers, like DuckDuckGo, don't share information, which prevents the browser window from passing information to the app. Therefore, we recommend using a browser like Chrome or Safari.

Missing Courses

Uninstalling and reinstalling the app mostly solves the issue. At times, outdated app versions or cached data may cause problems. Don’t worry: your app progress will be preserved.

If this still does not work, this may be due to three reasons:

  1. You are not logged in using the correct account: If available, please login using the official e-mail address of your institution. For example, if you study at the ZHAW, use @students.zhaw.ch or @zhaw.ch.

  2. The teacher has not activated nor invited you to the course: Please reach out to your teacher and ask him or her to activate your course and invite you via email or access code.

  3. The course is no longer active and in the archive: You can always access older courses via the little archive button next to the settings button.
